Psalm 30:5
New Living Translation (NLT)
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
Clamor
What is this noise heard below
Of voices, sticks, and rocks
It is the truth of those who weep
From a life of pain and hard knocks
It is the anguish of children
Led away as slaves in chains
It is the cries of weeping mothers
Standing over their baby’s last remains
It is a father as he falls asleep
Tears rolling down his sunburned face
His back near breaks from the pull of the plow
And the cut of the reins embrace
What is this noise heard above
Of thunder, swords, and steeds
It is the shouts for justice
Of angelic armies soon unleashed
When our King will come again
Like a thief without a warning
A time when all the Earth will shout
“Joy comes this very morning!”

Father,
We thank You and praise You for You have not forsaken the weak, the poor, or the helpless. That day is coming when all accounts will be settled, all pain will cease, and every tear wiped away.
