New Living Translation (NLT)
Parable of the Unforgiving Debtor
21 Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”
22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!
Pick a Power
If I could have one power,
What would be the best?
What would mean the most to me?
That would outshine all the rest,
Should I choose to be real strong,
Or run at lightning speed?
Or if I could read the thoughts of men,
Would that be all I’d need?
I might should pick the gift of gab?
And become a household name,
Or maybe I could be a star
And rise to worldly fame?
Then again I think it’s certain?
What gives the most power to live,
Is to turn loose of all my anger,
And to seventy times seven forgive.

Bless us with hearts that forgive and minds that forget. You have forgiven us of much so we should forgive those who hurt us, but we need Your power to do it.
