Storm Breaker

Storms

Mark 4:39
King James Version (KJV)

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Storms

There are storms of wind
And storms of rain,
Storms of loneliness,
Storms of pain,

Storms of our making
And storms that are not,
Storms that are cold,
Storms that are hot,

Storms at home
And storms on the road,
Storms held inside,
Storms that explode,

Storms in the kitchen
And storms in the den,
Storms that happen once,
Storms that never end,

Dear Lord of the heavens,
Calm our storms if you will,
Please speak these simple words
“Peace, be still!”

Father,

There are storms all over tonight, Lord. Be with those in the path of the hurricane, and be with those who are in the throes of their own hurtful storms…wherever they are…whatever the storm. Thank You, Lord for loving us so much.
