What Should I Do?

This Man

John 6:28-34
New Living Translation (NLT)

28 They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?”
29 Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
30 They answered, “Show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What can you do? 31 After all, our ancestors ate manna while they journeyed through the wilderness! The Scriptures say, ‘Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven. 33 The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “give us that bread every day.”

This Man

What were his thoughts?
What was his plan?
This one who came
To take the place of man,

He walked on water,
He healed the sick,
He chose the twelve,
Knew just which ones to pick,

He calmed the seas,
And raised the dead,
Cast out our demons
Filled them with dread,

Gave sight to the blind,
Made the lame to walk,
Those who could not speak
He had them talk,

He gave himself
To set us free,
A blood sacrifice
For you and me.

We acknowledge that You have sent Jesus to save those of us who know that You sent him and that You have raised Him from the dead. May we somehow tell the good news around the world.
