The Price of War

The Price of War

Ephesians 6:12
New Living Translation (NLT)

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

The Price of War

A metal box
And what it contains,
Slowly escorting
The last remains

A life of honor,
A life lived well,
Cut off too short,
A last farewell,

Shots ring out,
Taps fills the air,
A flag is given,
A trade unfair,

Then slowly lowered
In dark repose,
A mother’s tears
And then it’s closed,

But on that day
With trumpet’s sound,
Their evil plans
Will all be found,

Justice prevails
It always will,
In holy court
They’ll pay the bill.

We place ourselves in Your embrace, knowing that evil will not triumph against us. Thank You!
