Changing Day by Day

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
New Living Translation (NLT)

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

My Life Juxtaposed

Take a look
Compare if you will
It was my life then
It’s my life still

But things have changed
And they’ll change even more
Each day I’m becoming
What I was not before

Each day I let go
And become all that I can
By hearing Your voice
And holding Your hand

So if you knew me before
You might not know me at all
I’m growing much bigger
By becoming quite small

It’s not a bad thing
As you might rightly suppose
Once you’ve compared my lives
The old and the new juxtaposed

You change us daily. You change us with certainty. One day we will be completely changed. Until then, please have mercy upon us all.

  1. Hey word coaster did I do the daily prompt right? Check my poem “broken” out. Where can I see it on the discover site? I’m a newbie. And I love the prompt idea. Noticed you do it often

    • Sorry, this got messed up somehow.

Here is the link to the Daily Prompt site:

Click on today’s prompt and you can see if your post got there.

Sorry, it won’t let me paste the two lines you need to paste into the end of your post.I believe you can find them at the Daily Prompt site.

Unfortunately the Daily Prompt ends tomorrow unless something has changed. It will be missed.

      Hope this helps.
