Rubed the Right Way

Romans 10:10-12
New Living Translation (NLT)

10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.

From a Rube to a Ruby

Change me Lord this very day
Speak through me in all I say

Change my heart and change my mind
When they look at me may You they find

May I speak the truth ringing like a bell
Let it’s wisdom be all that I ever tell

May Your love be all that I confess
No other merit do I possess

And when I run my final race
May I stand before Your smiling face

May heaven’s gate then open wide
And I be permitted to come inside

And there no longer a rube to be
Since Your mercy and grace set me free

A ruby ring upon my finger placed
And in holy arms I am embraced

Surely there can be no more paradise
Than glazing into Love’s own eyes

Thank You for sharing Your amazing love. Thank You for every kindness. In a world that thinks it silly to believe in You, may I be sillier every day.
