Romans 5:18-19
New Living Translation (NLT)
18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
Me and My Creature
There is a creature
That lives within
Who waits in the darkness
Plotting great sin
It’s cunning and clever
And knows where I’m weak
It waits for a quarrel
Never turning a cheek
It has me play judge
With a stone in my hand
While love is there stooping
Drawing truth in the sand
It had me betray
On that Passover night
For thirty small coins
I gave them his life
It has me call out
To free Barabbas today
While the Righteous stands silent
With nothing to say
It has me drive spikes
Through the hands of a king
I say it’s my job
Though he did not a thing
It speaks with a voice
That’s deceptively sweet
Telling me I’m innocent
For when did a king I every meet
But it’s true and I know it
As true as can be
All the sins of the world
Run through you and me
It’s just part of our nature
From the time of the fall
We all have a creature
Both great and both small
So pray for a cleansing
It’s what we must do
To be rid of our creature
We must be made new

Father,
Thank You for Your wonderful gift of Jesus. Through Him we are made anew. Through Him we have life.

Wow great work! Food for thought.. We do all have a creature of sin in us.

Thank you for the kind words. Don’t want it to sound too dark though. We have a great hope.
