New Living Translation (NLT)
23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.
Out where the sun kisses the ocean
Where the tree line and the stars caress
Out there during the twilight and daybreak
Before the sun or the moon can impress
There in those brief quiet moments
Magic would be happening each day
If our minds were opened to new thoughts
Of doing things a different way
Too long we have held onto our old ways
Burying our heads in the sand
Instead our minds should be opened
To those things we don’t understand
So look deep out into the future
Out where the horizon lies
And ponder what we might experience
If we’d only open our hearts and our eyes
What if we embraced our brothers and sisters
And did not bicker and fight
What if we did not abuse them
What if we walked in the light

Help us each new day to reach beyond ourselves and not be content with what we were yesterday. Open our hearts and minds to every person, knowing that they are made and loved by You. Thank You, Lord for being with us.
