Don’t Just Wait to Relate

Isaiah 11:6
New Living Translation (NLT)

6 In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together;
the leopard will lie down with the baby goat.
The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion,
and a little child will lead them all.

Relating and Anticipating

Have you ever had this thought?
“Why can’t we all relate?”
Why can’t we all just get along?
Why is there so much hate?

Why can’t we be like nature?
The birds, the bees, and flowers,
They seem to coexist together
With harmony empowered

Yet ask that of the fleeing deer
As it scampers for its life,
When the cheetah runs it down
With jaws just like a knife

We all relate the best we can,
Since all creation is accursed
Some will do their very best
And some their very worst

Until “that” day when peace will reign
And all the Earth will shout for joy!
He’ll usher in the kingdom once again
As all the saints their songs employ

So do not be discouraged
Or try to run and hide
Shout the Good News from the rooftops
And then the mountainsides

It’s true the world is full of darkness
And troubles beset us all
But hope still springs eternal
As we await the trumpet’s call

There is a gift that’s coming
And it’s not in Santa’s sleigh
It’s the grace our Savior brings us
When He comes on Judgment Day

Then from that great day forward
All order will be restored
The lamb will not live in fear
And the lion will kill no more

Great is Your name and Your kingdom. A day is coming when You will make things right within Your creation. When peace will reign and order restored. Until that day be with us and give us strength to proclaim Your mighty name among the nations.
