New International Version (NIV)
The Lord Speaks
38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:
2 “Who is this that obscures my plans
with words without knowledge?
3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.
4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone—
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels shouted for joy?
How droll You must think us
When we sit in judgment of Your ways
To assume we might know better
Or could instruct The Ancient of Days
What star have we ever created
What galaxy have we formed from nought
What possible explanation can we give
For questioning what You have wrought
And when have we ever thrown lightening
Or thundered from Heaven on high
Could we fill the oceans with fishes
Or paint blue all of the sky
Or might we even imagine
On the very best of our days
The mathematical precision
That keeps the planets in sway
So forgive us our folly
When we whine and complain
For the work of Your hands is too marvelous
For us to understand or explain

Never will we understand a single work of Your mighty hand. It is simply beyond our comprehension. Help us then to “lean on You”. To trust and live by faith so that You might carry us through this life. Thank You, Lord for Jesus. Through Him we see You. Through Him we come to You. Through Him is the only way.
