Sure as Sure

James 1:6
New International Version (NIV)

6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Why So Dubious

There is much to doubt
Most anywhere you look
From the highest of officials
To the lowest low of crooks

From the preacher to the politician
To the man just down the street
They sometimes seem to speak to us
From a heart filled with pure deceit

But did the sun not rise today
Have we not received the rain
Have the stars turned loose their moorings
Will it not snow once again

Is the sky not as blue as ever
Has the ocean ceased to roar
Do the trees not reach for heaven
Do the waves not rush to shore

And does His hand not guide us still
From His throne so high above
A simple look at all creation
Should convince us of His certain love

So take a look and take a gander
And be sure as sure can be
For God gave His one and only Son
That all men might be free

No matter where we look, if we look for You, we will find You. The works of Your hands are mighty and they are sure. The sun rises and sets; and we receive the former and the latter rains. Your love is certain. Your love is sure. Thank You for caring so much.
