New International Version (NIV)
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
A grand and mysterious force
That guides and holds us firm
It brings us home in the storm
Through every care and concern
The tiller and rudder in one
Steering and holding us taunt
Keeping us from becoming awash
In life’s ocean with troubles so fraught
I stare into the vast, dark creation
Magnetic wonder holding me tight
A heavenly hand upon me
Leading me both day and night
Though I know not where I am destined
I have not a care in the daylight
I know He goes on before me
So I fear not at all through the night
They say that opposites attract
And we could not be further apart
But His wondrous love grabs hold me
And comes and lives within my heart
So please, dear Lord, draw me to You
With that force which I can’t understand
Your nature is far, far above me
But I so long to walk, hand in hand
