New International Version (NIV)
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth,
sing praise to the Lord,
33 to him who rides across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
who thunders with mighty voice.
34 Proclaim the power of God,
whose majesty is over Israel,
whose power is in the heavens.
Riding the Carousel
Is your carousel a merry-go-round?
Does it go mostly up or mostly go down?
Does it whirl and spin at great heights and speeds?
Or is a kick in the pants what it really needs?
Does it shimmer and shine with paint bright and new?
Or is it faded and flaking like someone’s old shoe?
Do you ride on young ponies all spry and daring?
Or are they old, swaybacked, slow and sparing?
Does the music play with melodic sweet accord?
Or does it sound more like a broken Victoria record?
Well, if your whirligig isn’t quite up to snuff,
Climb on board to a salvation ride, “sho’nuff”!
Confess your all troubles, announce all your sins,
Ask the Lord for forgiveness and begin life again,
He’ll fill you with the Spirit, and make you anew,
He’ll take you to places that you never knew,
Signs and wonders will follow you each and every day,
You’ll be so grateful you’ll just have to pray,
Each morning you’ll climb onboard this heavenly ride,
Each night you will rest with angels at your side,
So don’t hesitate, don’t ponder or wait,
Don’t leave it to chance; don’t leave it to fate,
The Lord up in heaven is holding your seat,
Jump on board, hold on tight, for a life that’s complete.

We buy our tickets and get on board, the music begins to play, and we are off. We hope that we have chosen wisely, but often we have gotten on the wrong ride. Nothing about it is what we expected. We call upon You today and ask that You help us all. For those who are sick – heal them, for those who are sad – comfort them, for those who are just not sure – enlightened them. You are the Master of our rides and the doctor who can heal all things. Please be with us all. Thank You so.
