Don’t Choose the Blues

Joshua 24:15
New International Version (NIV)

15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Toothbrush Blues

Toothbrushes come in choices aplenty
Might drive you crazy cause there are so many
There are dozens of hues
Reds, yellows and blues
With multiple grips
Easy, bicycle, and no-slip
And bristles galore
From nylon to the hair of a boar
And what firmness should I request
Is soft, medium, or hard the best
Oh! It’s really confusing
Which one should I be using
So please give me a hint
For to the store I was sent
I’ve been here all day
And they say I’m in the way
But there’s just too many to choose
I’ve come down with the Toothbrush Blues!

It’s oooh so confusing
Which brush to be choosing
All my teeth I’ll be losing
And my gums I’ll be bruising
I got the Toothbrush Blues!
I got the Toothbrush Blues!
And when you have to choose
You’ll have the Toothbrush Blues too!

Life is full of choices. Some are easy and some are not. Please bless all who read this prayer with knowledge, wisdom, and discretion. It is possible for us to know the right choice, but not have the wisdom to choose it, and we can have both knowledge and wisdom, and not have the discretion to be willing to do what is correct. May we wear these three as a necklace and may they protect us in this confusing world.

Thank You, Lord for caring so much for us.
