Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Colossians 3:12
New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

What Good is a Lollipop Anyway?

If the world was a lollipop
What flavor might it be
Would it be sweet like sugar
Or maybe sour like a lemon tree

If the world was a lollipop
What color would it be
Would it be blue like the ocean
Or green like a tall oak tree

If the world was a lollipop
What fragrance might it wear
The smell of fresh picked berries
Or an odor that would scare

If the world was a lollipop
What good might it do
Give us something else to ponder
Something else to pursue

But lollipops are merely candy
With no reason or a rhyme
They just make us feel good
Almost all the time

So let us all be lollipops
With one purpose in our mind
Today make someone feel good
By being sweet and kind.

Let us find purpose in being kind. Let us bring joy to all that we meet. Fill us with Your love and let it be the purpose for which we live. Not to possess it for ourselves, but to be a vessel that brings joy to others. The world is in great need of Your presence. May we be Your presence on the earth.

Thank You, Lord. Amen!
