New International Version (NIV)
15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Imaginary – existing only in imagination: lacking factual reality
Therein lays the question that the gospel poses. Is God real (factual) or does He exist only in our imagination?
We can either believe that God doesn’t exist at all, or that He exists but we don’t care, or that He does exist and we will do our best to accept His Lordship (It’s not a democracy).
That would seem to be the choices? If He exists there will be no greater decision.
Choose wisely. Choose before it’s too late. No one leaves this life without dying. No one.
Thank You for caring so much for us all. You could easily turn Your back on us and walk away. It would even be the justice we deserve, but You have offered Your hand to us, to bring us back to what was planned for us in the beginning. May every soul hear and choose wisely.
In the name of the great rescuer, Jesus. Amen.
